Decisions, Decisions: Gain 10 lbs This Holiday or, Um… err… Don’t

5 days ’til Christmas and there’s a choice to be made:

Option A) Forget all those hours spent at GymCore CrossFit eating nails and getting diesel. Eat sugar and gluten until you’re green as the Grinch. Feel like crap on December 26th.

Option B) Don’t gain 10 lbs. Feel great on December 26th. Get a little head start on the January Paleo Challenge.

So, what exactly is the suggestion here? Try going wheat/gluten and cane sugar free this holiday. It’s not the easiest transition, but it is possible. And here’s how to do it:

Almond Flour: A staple of most paleo pancake recipes! Read all about almond flour here.

Brown Rice Flour: Not paleo but a good transition flour from wheat

Arrowroot Flour: Great thickening for clear sauces.

Flax Meal: Store in refrigerator in opaque air-tight container.

Tapioca Flour: Adds a chewy texture and thickening agents.
